The founder of FlixBus said that although the full electric buses are costly, and his company is convinced that this "future-oriented investment is cost-effective". "As an operator, we are releasing a clear signal, that is, the transformation of the mobility mode, is likely to happen. At the same time, the appearance of the first full electric long-distance bus also sent signals to the bus makers, urging them to accelerate innovation and develop new energy vehicles that replace conventional diesel vehicles."
It is reported that the first batch of electric bus used by FlixBus to serve the European market is Yutong ICe12 (for French market), which has 53 seats with the maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
